Well, the tournament season comes to an end...

The Texas B.A.S.S Nation South East Region started it's six 2014 tournaments on January 11 at Sam Rayburn and we finished at Toledo Bend on May 10, 2014. I had missed the first tourney at Rayburn but was able to compete in the rest of the regular season events.

Most of the tournaments had over 100 anglers attend, fishing their heart out in search of a couple dollars at the end of the day. There was also the matter of AOY (Angler Of The Year) points being chased. The Region fished Sam Rayburn, Palestine, Conroe, Belton, Livingston and Toledo Bend over the course of the regular season and the championships were held at Amistad.

At the end of the 2014 season, Albert Collins of Nacogdoches Bass Club finish 1st in AOY standings with 1056.94 points. The COTY (Club Of The Year) honors went to The BASS Club with a 8680.35 point total. I ended up finishing 66th of the 161 in the AOY race. I'm determined to make the Top 40 next year!

It was great to participate in these events this year and I plan to fish the entire 2015 season. The experience and comradery was terrific.
