Saturday team fishing
Bernard & I fished our first club tourney with Seven Coves Bass Club today. Real nice bunch of folks to start with, took us in at their last meeting in July (gotta be nice if they let ME in). The club tx is called a jelly jar, reminiscent of the old days of keeping the cash for a tournament in a jelly jar (don't ask me, that's what I heard).
Anyhow, we launched outta Waterfront Resort/Marina in Onalaska at day break, shotgun start at safe light & fished like crazy.
We caught a bunch of fish, only 1 opportunity to cull, around 11:30 & ended up keeping the small anyway. Temps we're great, cloud cover & wind all day.
We ended up at the 3:00 pm weigh-in with 8.40 on a 3 fish limit to take 2nd & also took 2nd big bass with Bernard's 4.62. We walked with cash in hand
All in all a very fun day on the water! Now it'stime!!

Sure was nice to catch fish again, I almost forgot was it was like
I think Red cast some kinda funky juju spell on his backseat for me being an hour late to Fayette
We were gonna take pics while catching, then we decided to not jinx anything and take pics at the end of the day. Then we forgot all together

We fished the 190 bridge bank (causeway) and any south facing banks. Wind from the north was choppin things up pretty good. We hung pretty close to kickapoo marina & sandy creek, never even went under the bridge. Rumor was that things were working pretty good up around broken arrow but we blew off heading up creek, kept looking like it would storm...
